The Smokies from Roan Mountain II

From atop Round Bald at Roan Mountain, hikers are presented with a spectacular view of the The Smoky Mountains. Considered the high point of the Roan-Unaka Range, Roan Mountain contains the longest stretch of grassy balds in the Appalachian mountain range. Round Bald has the 2nd least elevation of the 5 peaks of Roan Mountain with an elevation of 5,826 feet.

This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 70D at 35mm on April 14, 2017.
