The Smokies from Roan Mountain I

The view of the Smokies from Round Bald atop Roan Mountain in TN. Roan Mountain is the high point of the Roan-Unaka Range and contains the longest stretch of grassy balds in the Appalachian mountain range. At an elevation of 5,826 feet, Round Bald has the 2nd least elevation of the 5 peaks of Roan Mountain.
