Spring Evening at Esopus Lighthouse

Spring Evening at Esopus Lighthouse

It had been a while since I visited Scenic Hudson’s Esopus Meadows Preserve and captured a shot of the Esopus Lighthouse. So, I decided to take my pup and see what photos I could capture of the 146 year old lighthouse. Built in 1871 to replace an existing, damaged lighthouse, the Esopus Lighthouse, which is also nicknamed the “Maid of the Meadows”, is the last remaining wooden lighthouse in existence on the Hudson River.

This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 70D at 250mm and 1/250 exposure on June 2nd, 2017.
