Esopus Lighthouse in Early December

I took this photo of the Esopus Lighthouse on December 1st, a day after receiving my new Canon EOS 70D and 18-135mm lens. It had been raining the day before so I was looking forward to trying out my new camera but needed someplace I could get to quickly with limited free time.

The Esopus Lighthouse, located on the Hudson River near Esopus, NY, was completed in 1871 and is the 2nd lighthouse to have been built at this location. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Esopus Meadows Lighthouse in 1979.

This photo was taken from Scenic Hudson’s Esopus Meadows Preserve in Ulster Park, NY.
